Turning 24

Joe Fresh shirt / Zara skirt / Zara Sandals / Matthew Williamson for H&M bag / vintage necklaces & rings

This past Sunday was my 24th birthday, and I have to say, I was very spoiled all weekend for the occasion! I wore this to the BBQ party I had at my place on Friday, it was actually a really cold night but everyone came out for hot dogs, burgers and backyard dancing! I just had to wear my new patchwork denim skirt, I paired it with a 70's inspired print shirt and dug out my metallic leather patchwork clutch from the Matthew Williamson X H&M collaboration many years ago.

My roommates surprised me with cake for breakfast and the most amazing homemade candy skull piñata full of treats and silly gifts! Sunday was spent dancing and tanning on my friend Gabi's boat that we drove around the old port, followed by dinner with the family. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family that are so thoughtful and really made this day special for me!!

Did I say SPOILED? Cheers to another great year :)

Fashion Tartare X Call it Spring

Brooks Brothers shirt / H&M jeans / Call it Spring sandals / vintage bucket bag / vintage necklaces & rings

What a better place to Call it spring than the Westmount greenhouse where it's always spring and the flowers and in full bloom! I paired my new Spring sandals with an oversized men's shirt and white ripped jeans.

The rhinestone embellishment adds a little shine to my laid-back weekend style and the thick sole is perfectly comfortable to walk in all day long, adding a little bounce in your step!

Thanks to Call it Spring for sponsoring this post!

Toronto 2

H&M trench coat / Zara top / DIY vintage ripped jeans / däv "Finley" boots / Anne Klein sunglasses / thrifted scarf / vintage necklaces & rings

My favourite thing to do when I'm traveling through a new city is trying restaurants, there are not enough meals in one day to eat everything I wanted to!! I tried the most delightful meal at Dailo on College street; spicy fried chicken hearts, deep fried watermelon with pork shavings and lotus shoots in truffle sauce.. surprisingly delicious! We shopped for jewelry and lanterns in Chinatown and ate an endless amount of dumplings, walked through downtown, saw the CN tower, Koreatown, little Italy and Kensington market until our feet bled and I finally had to change out of my boots into my funky Chinese slippers.

Toronto

Forever 21 fringe jacket / top (unknown) / Levi's jeans / däv "Finley" boots / Zara bag / Anne Klein sunglasses / vintage necklaces & rings

My first time in Toronto was a blast, beautiful weather, great food and great company. Marie-Ashley and I stayed near Kensington market, surrounded by trendy bars, cafés, vintage shops and colourful art on every wall. We made tons of new friends that I can't wait to visit again!

We HAD to pass by Momofuku milk bar, which I heard so much about, to try their famous cereal milk ice-cream. Basically, it's the sweet sweet bottom of your morning cereal bowl in a soft serve and dipped in buttery crunchy cereal bits (amazing).

Road Trip

H&M trench coat / H&M t-shirt / vintage DIY ripped jeans / däv "Finley" boots/ vintage bag / Anne Klein sunglasses/ vintage necklaces & rings

On my way to Toronto with Marie-Ashley, we sat in the car for 6 hours, singing and dancing, trying to stay awake. I desperately tried to fit all my outfits in my new straw bag which I'm SO in love with! I found it at a flee market for 10$, I call it the fiesta bag, perfect for a 70s beach day! More about Toronto in the next post.

Key song for a great road trip: On my way - Rusted Root, enjoy!
