thrifted cardigan / thrifted wool dress / vintage fur scarf (also worn here) / däv "Finley" boots (here) / Zara bag / vintage Anne Klein sunglasses
I'm slowly trying to recover from the Easter long weekend; the dinners, the brunches, the drinks, all were so great, but now it's back to my morning yoga routine and healthy eating, not easy when I am dreaming of maple ham and sugar pie...
It's still a little chilly outside but beautiful and sunny! This is an outfit that I wore to work, a simple wool dress with a high neckline that a found at a thrift shop, no alterations needed, because it fits perfectly (that never happens)! I layered it with my fox fur scarf and a long fuzzy cardigan that I love to wear on any day, with a dress or ripped jeans. I acessorized with a few of my favourite rings and a necklace that I made a few years ago with a coin from my trip to Peru in 2007. I recently found it again and have been wearing it ever since, what a nice souvenir.. :)

Zara leather jacket / H&M sweater (also worn here) / H&M T-shirt dress / thrifted scarf / däv "Finley" boots (here) / Zara bag
With the new season arriving, I'm feeling so happy, accomplished and inspired. I'm walking around all day with a huge smile on my face, twirling around in my fringe... there's just something about Spring.
I just signed up for a jewelry making class starting at the end of the month, I love to work with my hands; building things, painting, sewing... jewelry is a new media for me and I'm very excited to see what I can create. I can't wait to show you some of my pieces!

My big sister is getting married this summer! For the celebration, she is planning a non-traditional rustic wedding in the woods; camping, bonfire, barbecue, swimming in the lake, sounds like a magical weekend! I am so excited and honored to be her maid of honor, we will be traveling to New York in the Spring for some white-dress shopping... :)
Beautiful watercolour invitation painted by my mother!

Nicole Benisti winter jacket / H&M turtleneck / H&M pants / vintage scarf / H&M hat & mittens
The cottage escape is key to surviving winter in Canada. February just becomes too depressing in the city at -25, a little nature and relaxation is well deserved at this point!
A bunch of friends and I rented a beautiful place in St-Adolphe, about an hour drive from Montreal. We spent the weekend cozying up by the fireplace, cooking all together, sleeping in, drinking & dancing in our PJs to the sounds of our resident Djs. We tried to squeeze in a few snow activities in between, my winter gear is a little outdated so I wore my warmest city coat and slouchy faux leather pants in place of snow pants, worked magic with longjohns underneath!
Relaxation wasn't the only purpose of the weekend, we were also saying our goodbyes to my best friend and roommate Marieve who is moving to Australia for a year, I already miss her very much!! Stay tuned for the launch of her own blog to keep up with her travels and adventures!

I received a little care package yesterday, from a friend living in San Francisco. It included this cool California republic T-shirt, I might just wear it under all my clothes and do some sort of African voodoo with it so I can teleport myself!
... and yes that was a Mean Girls reference, guilty ;)
